I live about 4 hours north of Grand Rapids (in Levering, Mi). I need to travel to GR for a medical procedure that requires I have a driver take me to and from the facility (I need to be put under anesthesia). I don't have family in that area and have imposed on my sister to drive from Jackson to act as my driver for the last few times I needed to go there. I always stay in a hotel in Downtown Grand Rapids when I'm there. My question is, is there any nurse or companion service that is available to drive me to the facility, wait until the procedure is done then drive me back to the hotel? No, a taxi or Uber can't be used. Obviously, I would pay for the service. Is there such a thing in Grand Rapids?

I would check with the health organization doing the procedure. I know Spectrum Health offers rides to some patients, though I'm not sure under what conditions. Your best bet is to check in with the practice/specialty and see what they have available.
