Are there any plans to open a Sprouts Farmers Market grocery store in the area?

Sprouts has expanded to the Southeastern US, but they have yet to arrive in the Great Lakes region. According to their Store Locator, the closest Sprouts to GR is in Tennessee.

In GR, you might also like Fresh Thyme or Bridge Street Market.

There's no better farmer's market than a real one: Fulton Street Farmer's Market.

Fresh Thyme is very similar~if you didn't read the labels you'd think you were in a Sprouts.

As much as I like Sprouts (I'm now in Phoenix were they originated and where their corporate offices are) I'm not sure it would translate well in GR. While their fruits and veggies are dirt cheap (I'm looking at their flyer right now: 18oz. Blueberries 1.98ea., Large Mango's or Avocados 2/$1 and often the smaller Avocados are 5/$1, 2lb.bag Mandarines 2/$5. BTW- Prices will come down even more as the winter harvest begins) I have to admit because a lot of it is organic, shelf life can be short.

You can get away with that when the growing region is literally hours away but shipping cross-country it could be problematic. If they have to raise prices or go with different suppliers that have higher prices you might be left with the same situation that be-felled The Fresh Market which flamed out spectacularly.

I wish you luck getting a Sprouts but be happy Meijer does a rather good job in its produce section. Better yet, can we work out a swap? 2 or 3 Sprouts for a couple of Meijer's?

Doubt it given the locations of current Sprouts stores. Best to ask them directly. They'll know more about their future plans than anyone on C-D.
