There is no acreage, no farms, no river in East Grand Rapids.

There's Reeds Lake, which is a popular recreational lake, and a couple million gets you a nice house on that lake (not much for sale right now though). A quick search on grar.com found a $1.4M house with frontage on the lake. But you're talking a half-acre lot for that price.... not multiple acres.

Sounds like you're after something more like what you'll find in Ada.

This was a few weeks ago, but I drove past a horse farm for sale on Thornapple River Dr, I think it was pretty close to Laraway Lake Dr. It was a horse farm right on the Thornapple River, that place has to be worth a boatload!! (no pun intended). Not sure if it's still for sale, but that place would fit the description nicely. I don't have a clue how to find the listing, but it might be worth taking a drive through there. You can't miss it.
