This is an apples and oranges comparison..It all depends on what you are looking for out of life regardless of money..I have been to NYC and GR many times and can see they are vastly different..

I'm not sure you are still looking for information, but just in case, you should know that the West Michigan area (includes GR) has a very large homeschooling population. There are so many choices, you have to actually work at staying home to get the book work done.
