Hey everyone!
I was wondering if anyone on this forum has ever been to a concert at Intersection in Grand Rapids. I have a brilliant idea for my dad's Christmas present - a concert there - but I'm wondering what it's like and if it's an appropriate place for an 18 year old to take her dad just to listen to some music. Please let me know ASAP time is a huge factor!
Thank you so much!

The Intersection is a great venue, right downtown with tons of bars and restaurants close by. It is definitely a wonderful idea to share the gift of music with your dad -- and all ages shows are totally appropriate for the both of you. One thing that I highly recommend is the Mega80s nights - - they are so much fun. In fact, I'll be attending next week with friends when I come home for Thanksgiving. Very excited!!

Depending on the band, yeah it could be really cool. Plus, Founder's Brewery is opening their new facility right down the street on Grandville, easily within walking distance:

I know this post is a little old, but is this club still in the same location? Same owners, expect the same from back in 2006? I am going to a concert there in Sept & wondered what to expect!

I forget when it moved from Wealthy St. in Eastown, but it's over on the west side of downtown now.

Just wanted to say that the concert I went to there was great! This was my first time in Grand Rapids. My hubby & I stayed at the Days Inn on Pearl St. The parts of town we went to & saw were beautiful. Everyone was very friendly. We also took a tour of the Gerald Ford Museum before we left. What a nice museum!

When I lived in GR, I went to the Intersection for Mega80s all the time, plus saw a few random bands (Badfish was awesomeeee). I think it's a great venue, all the tickets are well-priced.
