What restaurant do you go to for excellent Chinese food? And don't tell me Yen Ching!

Somewhere on Division between 28th and 44th street is a pseudo-enclosed strip mall that has a pretty good dim sum place. Sorry, I dont know the exact name, since I visit a couple times a year, and my family brought us there. Maybe someone on the boards here can help me out...

The mall also includes Vietnamese sandwich, and a small asian grocery. Across the way was a pho place, and boba tea place.

There's a place by Knapp's Corner called Ming Ten. It's a Chinese buffet but ALOT better than any that I've ever been to. I go there all the time.

Default good chinese food

Based on a review in the Grand Rapids Press, we tried China Wong last weekend. We were impressed. The decor is not impressive, but the food and service are good. It is located south of the city on Division - near the Spectrum facility. Good luck.

i think this is probably A Dong Market; it's on the east side of Division, just south of 36th street.

There's a good Chinese buffet near 60th and Kalamazoo on the SE side. The name escapes me though.

If you like Thai food you can't beat a fairly new place at 5260 Northland Dr. NE called Rakthai Bistro. We've always loved oriental food and go to various places around town, but the dishes at this are really different. Ordering is also a three step system. You order your entree, pick a protein to go in it and choose the spice level.

Yummy Wok on 44th and Breton is awesome, it is in the strip mall next to Family Fare, more on Brenton. The owner's name is Yum and he remembers the neighbors by name and you can customize anything on his menu. The Ming Ten is good on Knapp as mentioned previously. XO downtown on Monroe Center is good, more Thai food but lots of choice. If you like sushi, there is a brand new sushi buffet in Centerpoint Mall of all places. It's called Oysy and it's next to the TJMaxx.

Empire buffet on Alpine is great, Abuccus (spelling?) not sure location is great too. I haven't been to that one since I was a lot younger so I'm not much help with that.
