Sounds petty I know, but I wish restaurants would have those 3 sided crayons that don't roll on the floor every minute , my grandkids are always under the tables retrieving their crayons , as of last week ,No more coloring in restaurants unless they use one crayon only Plus retrieving crayons off the dirty floor them their meal comes ?

Hope I'm not the only one finds this bothersome ?
I used to make a crayon corral with flatware and other things on the table. If the crayon didn't go back in the corral after use, it got a time out.

We had breakfast with friends yesterday at a restaurant, and their two kids are about 6 and 4. They ignored the crayons and spent their time waiting for the food on iPads playing games. It definitely kept them quiet.

I have two almost four year old grandchildren, and was thinking the same thing. They are usually given their ipads, or a phone to entertain them if they get fidgety. Not my choice, but it does see to be what many parents these days are doing.
Why not take your own staffs? You know these tiny crayons and highlighters? Even with flavors. But be careful if kids are too small not to swallow them!
