You hit the nail right on the head...

Why should a child have to walk through life defending him/herself against bullies who obviously come from trash?
Because that's the way life really is.

Bullies need the sh*t knocked out of them whilst victims need to get a backbone and stop being wimps.

The only empathy I have for victims of bullies is..... Nothing, nada, none, if you can't stand up for yourself you should be removed from the gene pool.

Frankly your posts would best be served by aiming them at yourself. ie it is you who are clueless about the topic. You either state the absurdly obvious, grossly oversimplify, and/or misinterpret or flat out twist other's words and intent around. FYI bullying can manifest in many different ways and degrees and most of them are NOT so extreme that they are "heinous assault."

Hypersensitivity like this is precisely what many of us are sick to death of and finally speaking out against. Our society has become so ridiculous in this regard I have often remarked and felt that it is not simply wussified and idiotic, but blew by that years ago to stark raving nuts.

It's interesting that it's you who sound like a "wimp" in the worst way as in subvertedly dishonest. your statements are not even true since i'm not the one who has oversimplified, it's others who have been more guilty of that. i have also not twisted or misinterpret anything. it's very clear that you are irked that anyone would not just oversimplify but place the blame on them citing they are. uh, what a pathetic tactic indeed!

i'll also wager that most of you "adults" are or get p*ssed when i mention that they have laws to protect them and remind them so glaringly. calling someone 'crazy' is a typical and cowardly tactic in argument when it's used to discredit the truth of what someone is exposing when people don't want to admit there is a problem or deal with it. the fact you think i'm a 'stark raving nut' and others who have taken the opposite stand on this thread the opposite, says a lot about you and this society and it isn't good, intelligent or "sane" in any way. lmao.

It's very well-known and typical of society to consider even physical assault committed by minors as "bullying" and this label is used to minimize the attack. it's unbelievable that a society would be so dishonest about the obvious.

it's YOU and many like you who oversimplify and ignore that bullying can get extreme and often end with physical assault and stalking.

don't pretend that no one knows when we've all attended school and witnessed it. it's already been reiterated many times on this thread that we are not talking about arguments and disagreements between people or children. this is what's totally being ignored and on purpose to leave it alone.

what's so heinous is that if a child did feel they needed recourse or intervening from the school, most of your positions would be to not take it seriously simply because they are under the age of eighteen. that's what i would call "stark raving nuts" but oh well. the majority of society on this issue will be the ones who end up defining it.

the future of society is looking good with this level of intelligence and problem solving ability. lol

talk about hypersensitive, isn't that what you were accusing me of? also, the points i've made are "childish babbling", eh? oh, okay.

it's your response that really comes off childish and lame as was your previous post. there is this 'wish it would just go away' so i don't have to care what these kids do attitude in your responses just like many others.

the real truth is, you like many others, don't want to address the issue and just leave things as they are. that's fine as that's your position.

there is no pot/kettle "stuff" either, which makes me question your perceptive and reasoning abilities.

First all I don't think any color should be bullied by any color. They say the most popular sport in America is base ball but I think bullying is. The bullying that goes on everywhere in this county is unbellievable. By that I speak of schools, the work place and in public. Having seen what goes on in schools and work places and in public it is no wonder people end up committing suicide or coming in with guns blazing. There is really nothing done about it at all especially in the schools although there are a few half hearted attemps for appearances sake.

I would suggest these means to tackle bullying. Firstly, children should be taught actively by parents and in classrooms how to defend themselves, whether physically or verbally. Secondly, children should be taught how to socialise with others. Bullying essentially is abnormal socialisation. So you don't like somebody, big deal. It's just pop culture to suggest we must value being liked, or that we must even care about who likes who, or who is fond of who.

I think schools should pursue an active bullying management policy, which even should have government support.
I agree with you ... except you forgot one crucial point: bullying should should not be limited to just kids. Adult bullying must be accepted as well.

No doubt you can defend yourself, samston ... maybe you know karate? There's nothing wrong if I bully you then, even if I'm a little stronger than you and my skills at karate, judo, boxing, muay thai, tae kwan do are a bit superior than yours.

Yes, I say! Let's recognize adult bullying too. And after I've beaten samston to a pulp (and I can!) I know I did him a favor because it will be good for his "character" whatever that is.
