Excuses, excuses, excuses. Entitlement mentality run amok...
How are they "defrauding" a system when all they're trying to do is buy BASIC FREAKING NECESSITIES??!!

You know what? This "entitlement" and "freeloader" crap of the reagan/bush years is OVER!

No one believes it anymore no matter how much the government tries to get their minions to "shame" the poor for asking for help. IT'S OVER. The people are going to ask for help with food, medical help and whatever else they can.

AGAIN, how can ANYONE IN THE US SURVIVE WITH NO CASH???

How does the government and state expect these people to get basic necessities??

Or do you even care??

Here are a few novel ideas for some of your welfare friends...

1. Stay in school, study, apply yourself, and graduate - as opposed to proving what a sex-crazed, drinking, drug-taking idiot you are. A high school diploma gets you a lot further in life than an STD or a single-parent baby.

2. Get a job. Yes, a job! ANY job. ANY job is better than NO job, because EVERY potential employer is going to look at your years' long lack of employment and wonder why. And, all other things being equal, the OTHER GUY is going to get the better job.

3. Shape up your attitude, and focus on things that matter. Nobody cares how huge you think your weiner is, or how many babies you can crank out by how many daddies. Nobody cares what color your underwear is, or how loud you can crank your boomer stereo. And nobody cares how high you can "lift" your redneck truck. Real people care about what kind of HUMAN BEING you are.

4. Don't waste the money you have. Spending what money you have on cigarettes and/or booze is STUPID. Spending what money you have on High Def Cable TV is STUPID. Spending what money you have on Unlimited Talk/Text/Data Cell Phone plans for every member of your family is STUPID. Spending what money you have on fancy wheels for your car is STUPID. Spending what money you have at McDonalds and Burger King is STUPID.

5. Take charge of your future. Don't expect somebody else to do it for you. Stop blaming everybody else for your own failures and/or your own misfortunes. Stop making excuses, and take responsibility for yourself.

Yeah, yeah, yeah... Call me a hater, call me heartless. But the FACT is, I actually care MORE about the poor than YOU do. I want them to SUCCEED - rather than being parasites, which destroys them.

ONE IN SEVEN AMERICANS ARE ON FOODSTAMPS. Many of them college graduates and career people who were let go. Those same college graduates are told they are overqualified to be a walmart greeter. I know a manager at Rite Aid who REFUSED to hire a recent college graduate as a store associate, because he believed he would eventually leave. Well duh?? Of course he will! Who makes working retail a longterm career anyway?

Most poor people or welfare folks do not have these types of plans. If they do, it's because a FAMILY MEMBER has added them to their plan and is paying the bills for them. Yes, poor people have working family members that care about them too. How do you think they are able to purchase toiletries, baby clothes and other extras the GOVERNMENT GIVES THEM NOTHING FOR.

Yeah, you're right. I take it you are EMPLOYED, correct?

You sound like a government plant. You're wasting your time. Even the people you think are agreeing with you are making plans to head down to a hospital or medicaid office to get coverage. They probably already went and got foodstamps, but they know better than to purchase in THEIR neighborhoods where they might run into "friends" like YOU.

This whole parasite schtick is PLAYED OUT NOW! Like I said in the previous post, as many MILLIONS of americans continue to get government help, because they can't find decent paying jobs or no jobs at all, then YOU and all the rest of your ilk will be a leftover reagan era propagandist from another time.

Anyway, we did have buggies full of food items too but that was a result of customer's handing us back foods they didn't want at the last minute. Very common. Rarely did we have droves of food stamp recipients returning food just to get cash back. Very rare. I don't think I ever had a case like that. If anything we dealt with a lot of con artists who would put phony price tags on clothes and try to get money back for it.
I hate to say it , but it would be far easier now a days with store loyalty cards to forget to "swipe it" pay 'full price" then go back with your card and the receipt and get the cash difference...just sayin'
esp. with self check-outs in most grocery stores

I know it's true. IF the person qualifies they can get both cash and FS, BUT you have to basically not earn anything in order to qualify for a cash benefit. If you do get both, it's on the same card and you are asked whether you want to use FS or cash for your purchase

It's because they are not getting enough CASH BENEFITS to buy things that Foodstamps doesn't.

Foodstamps will NOT allow you to purchase deodorant, soap, shoes, school books for your children, shampoo (or other toiletries), toilet paper, tampons, cleaning supplies or detergent to wash clothes (or MONEY to wash clothes) etc.

Unfortunately, depending on what state you live in, here in NYC, you will only be allowed a metrocard (maybe) and foodstamps only. For some reason states are doing away with CASH benefits. I'm not understanding the hows or whys behind it. How can you live in a FIRST WORLD NATION with NO CASH??

People are doing what they HAVE TO DO in order to survive without selling their bodies, drugs or other illegal activity.

Yet, Wall Street can get a bailout of BILLIONS of dollars without batting an eyelash. Freaking disgusting.
Actually, if they have a CVS, Rite-Aid, or Walgreens nearby they can learn to do the deals they often have there, on food.
For example, this weekend, CVS is offering some food items at a really decent price...Cheerios being one of them. They are $2.87/box and I know there is a 50 cent coupon out...then they are giving back $2 in Extra buck rewards
So, a person could shop the drugstores for deals on food items and then use the rewards programs to buy personal toiletries.
I actually teach a couponing class to low-income people to learn how to maximize their savings, legally and ethically by using store programs like the one at CVS

Yes! CVS is awesome!

I always check CVS FIRST before going to the supermarket for certain items, because they always have great deals. Sometimes you can get the full size Digiorno pizza at buy one/get one FREE and many other goodies.

Wow, that's good to know about the card and getting free toiletries. I'll most definitely pass this on.

weusecoupons.com and afullcup.com are great forums for coupons and deals. They usually have the ads weeks in advance so you can plan your trips and scenerios.
Also, Target will sometimes have food items, buy so many, get a Target gift card

Also, check out Savingstar, they offer cash back on items you buy (like a rebate) You register your store cards, and then click on the deals you want, and when you buy an item, so much (like 50 cents) goes into your account...when you hit $5 you can cash out for gift cards or paypal
The Cheerios I mentioned earlier are one of the items..so with the coupon that's out, the sale at CVS, and the 50 cent rebate, it's a money maker

Yes, as a matter of fact there has not been one single day - in the last 33 years - when I have NOT been employed. More years than not, I have had two jobs. I've worked at a pizza dump for $2.75 per hour, I've worked for $60,000+ per year, and everywhere in between. I worked my way through college, and worked all the time I was in grad school - even though I was married and had 3 kids. Not once did I get one penny of FAFSA for college. I went on scholarships, which I earned. Over the years I've worked more 70+ hour weeks than not.

The bottom line is that while you and your welfare friends have been sitting around on your lazy a$$es, I've been doing whatever is necessary to make it work. THAT is the difference between us. So save the hyperbole, and the relentless sob stories, for somebody who's buying what you're selling.

Yeah but, but, but... Couponing takes WORK, and takes time away from watching football on your flat screen TV. What kind of a MONSTER are you?!?!?!
