the trouble is not drugs or religion it is humans themselves. People are a plague a virus on the planet and we are destroying our host. When we are not killing each other for an ideal we kill each other because you have something I want.
None of this is going to change anytime soon in fact it will probably get worse as the population continues to grow and resources become scarce.

How does Hitler and religion correlate? Hitler didn't kill them because of their religious perspective. He killed them because of their Nationality. Being Jewish is both, Nationality and Religion.

Don't forget the Klu Klux Klan who claimed they were lynching Blacks because it was God's Will. This was much more recent in history.

Hatred and fear in the name of "religion" don't care which one ~is what is killing us as a people. Drugs, on the hand is also saving lives. Now if you mean illicit street drugs, yes they are, in many instances taking us out as well.

I can't fail to note that all of the things you prescribe as killing us are matters of free will.

There is no human race. There is a human species. Maybe a lot of the problems are caused by not understanding that each group is different instead of forcing people to be what they are not.
