What everyday occupations do you think have a reputation for having some of the rudest workers? or tend to have a lot of people that are considered jerks, poor manners, use foul language in public, etc.
Worst experiences have always been with union workers. I'm not union, but work with and oversee many union crews. They only do what they need to get by until the end of the day or the next smoke break. No consequences for lack of safety, productivity, or unreliable work. Often times they will deliberately work slowly during the week so they can get overtime on the weekends.
I've seen union crews leave half-rigged equipment dangerously hanging in the middle of a lift just because it was their 3:00 smoke break. Run into structures with forklifts, break pressurized fire sprinkler lines and flood an entire exhibit hall, throw away crates with millions of dollars of equipment because they thought they were "empty," the list goes on and on. I despise anyone who works in a union.
I noticed a lot of auto mechanics are not very friendly or have poor customer service
Ive also seen lots of rude gun store employees that use the F word when talking to customers almost like street talk , not something that should be used for business
trying to talk like they are a tough guy, bragging about military service heroics, being an ex sniper, Special Forces, Recon, SEAL, etc and using foul language , very unprofessional, if they were talking to other former SEALs, SF, etc maybe but not with customers off the street that come in for business
The less chance you have to be fired (union, working for a family member, cop, politician, etc) the more rude you can be.
