Egypt is full of Muslims that are currently failing their new "religious duty" to rip down the Great Pyramids.

See: ISIS Leader al-Baghdadi: 'Religious Duty' to Destroy Egyptian Sphinx, Pyramids - Breitbart

Lets help Muslims in Egypt make up their minds.

Why should a good Muslim be against or follow yet another new "religious duty?"

What is your justification?

Unfortunately, this is not a joke.

Why not let the Eqyptians take care of their own?
Does the United States of America really have to hold the entire world's hand when a lot of those who have already been helped don't appreciate the interference?

This.

We don't own the pyramids and they are nowhere close to our country.

If Egyptians don't care enough to protect their own national treasure, why should the United States send troops to die protecting them?

Regardless, the whole ISIS threat is overblown and the pyramids aren't going anywhere. Most of us stopped being scared of the boogeyman when we left first grade.

Let ISIS go for it. They should be done with the teardown around 3000 AD if they work around the clock.

If they are busy with that, maybe they won't have time to kill kids.

If ISIS took control of Egypt, it is likely they would blow up the pyramids and all the other historic wonders there. The Taliban did something similar when they took control in Afghanistan. Some massive, very very ancient, statues of Buhdda carved into a mountainside were blown to bits. Given their druthers, radical Islam would do this to every, single, non Muslim historic landmarks.

This type of thing is, certainly, quite wrong. To just destroy ancient feats of engineering because they don't represent Islam. It shows the dangerous ignorance and hunver for power that is at work. I firmly believe such structures as the pyramids need to be protected and treasured, but am I willing to go to war to do so? On that basis alone, no. However, ISIS getting control of Egypt is a scary thought. Israel would have a bit to say, about that, I believe. They might have more issue with them destroying the pyramids than many others. It was Hebrew blood that built them, after all.

I think most of us have an issue with anybody wanting to destroy the pyramids. However, this is not our battle.
