And today a Cuban is?

And do not forget that there was a time when Italians were not white.

Some think Jews are not white.

For example when pop star Mariah Carey first hit during her first marriage they left in the air her heritage and publicly she only went so far to say her father was Brazilian. After the divorce and a reset as a R&B singer. nothing changed in her looks only the public knowledge and pictures of her father due to the internet and a new marketing strategy
Venezuelan, not Brazilian

Mariah doesn't like to talk about race. I saw a clip where she told George Lopez, she is not interested in knowing her racial ancestry. I think she is afraid of being "too white". She says she does not define herself as black or white but culturally she shares more with blacks and Hispanics.

I don't quite understand "white wannabes" who are not white skinned but yellow, beige, etc... White is white and beige is beige and nobody is better just by the color. Suddenly almost all colors are "white".

It was a change in marketing strategy also. When she was Mrs Tommy Mottola she was a white Whitney Houston emerging with some asking what was she, oh a Brazilian or Venezuelan father, like say Ricky Ricardo maybe then she was effectively passing as previous generations would state it. After the divorce and the reset of her marketing as a R&B as opposed to a pop singer she became black and not by that time as an established artist another Teena Marie or Taylor Dane

In the USA the term Latino is never used for Italians it refers to people with origins in Latin America(strictly refers to geography) regardless of race.

True, but the original Latin people were the Italians. This simply shows how messed up the system is. The majority of people from central and South America are actually indigenous, no different than American Indians.

The media and most people are very confused and ignorant. They called pope Francis the first minority pope because be was born in south America however the pope is 100% Italian.

True; the same people do not think Jews or southern Europeans are white.

In reality true white people are very few. They generally have pink skin (which implies no melanin)and not white. The hair is yellow or the color of sand and the eyes are pale blue. The lips are thin, the noise pointy, and have large ears. Anything else is "HIGH YELLOW".
