Is it rude to pinch people for not wearing green on St. Patrick's day?

And yes, I think it is

Although the OP seems to be in jest, it does raise an interesting point.

I am in my late 50's. When I was in my teens thru my 40's people would pinch each other on St. Patrick's Day and we would all laugh about it. Now, you face a potential lawsuit and loss of job.

What has become of us?

What will we continue to turn into?

Nobody is talking about a lawsuit, no need to be extreme about my question
I'm asking if it's rude
Seems like a subtle way to bully people into celebrating something they don't care about

Well, if you want a specific answer, I don't think it's rude.

Is there actually a single documented case of a person being fired or being sued for merely pinching someone on St. Patrick's Day? I am not referring to a man who uses the holiday as an excuse to grab a woman in a sexual way or someone who causes a legitimate injury by pinching sensitive skin as hard as possible.

I seriously doubt anyone who has pinched someone in the traditional manner of St. Patrick's Day has been fired or sued for doing so.

More importantly, this is far from a great debate.

Do people normally go around pinching other people?
Never heard that just because they weren't wearing green as an excuse either.

Clearly you don't live in Portland. You would not begin to believe the lawsuits here since we were Californicated.
