I would appreciate if they would stop advertising where they live and ruin my home value. I can't stop offenders from moving in next door. Making a convenient map so potential buyers can be scared away from paying top dollar for my house means you need to keep them in the clink if you think they're worth advertising. I don't see a map of previously convicted murderers or drug dealers anywhere.

Per current affairs, will Anthony Wiener become a registered offender once he is released from prison? Reports were not clear, but his crime qualifies.

Perhaps the government and the voters should support walled ghettos for the "listed ones" so they can have a place of refuge and security from misguided folks who would take it upon themselves to inflict unwarranted punishment.
GHETTO - an environment to which a group has been relegated, as because of bias, or in which a group has segregated itself for various reasons.
Within this secure neighborhood, they can establish enterprises open to the public as well as to their fellow neighbors. They may even insist on “Adults Only” to limit the risk of contact with minors.

And we could do the same to those who peddle their chemical poison to the children of the country, those who repeatedly beat their spouses/families,those who repeatedly rob and murder others, those who prey on the elderly, those who repeatedly cheat on their spouses and destroy their families causing extreme pain and dysfunctional kids, tax cheats who rob the country of needed revenue and finally bank/financial executives who we know are all evil and can't be rehabilitated.

Lot's of ghettos to be built...

That fingerprinting is not being done for the reason you think it is.

I remember when I was in 3rd grade, the school had this special event, when the local police came in, they had a guy in a dog costume, they were giving out candy and prizes, had all sorts of games, it was like a little festival, but during this, they were taking all the kids fingerprints, the parents were told it was in case you ever got kidnapped, they would have your prints on file and make it easier to find.

However later on in life, upon having a close friend that used to be the police captain of this dept, he admitted to me, the real reason they do this is so they have all the kids fingerprints on file, for when they grow up and if they ever start getting into trouble. They did this at all the local schools so they would have everyones prints.

Point is, they made us believe it was being done for OUR health and safety, but in reality it was something else entirely.I have a feeling this same thing applies to these registries too.

Thats crazy imo, what he did was wrong, but he never actually had any contact with the girl, Ive seen local cases where actual contact does happen and they get less time, less punishment then Weiner got!

I think there is more going on then is being reported about his case, he is being targeted for something else, and this is their way of making him pay for it.

Getting a girl under 18 to create child pornography and send it electronically is pretty hard core. Anthony has a long history of internet use for pornography, so yeah, he may well have been targeted.

You could live 1000 feet from any number of facilities and keep them away. A church, a day care, a school, a park, a museum, a zoo . . . anyplace children congregate. In some States and towns it is 2500 feet.
