What kind of jobs will they have? What will be the sources of their income?
I don't actually have an opinion on this because I just can't imagine that the population will continue to increase with most jobs being more and automated or outsourced. Of course, there will always be a need for some jobs or professions that can't be outsourced (firefighter, medical personnel, electricians, etc.) -- but what about for the majority of people?
Well, if you look back 50 yrs, and consider all the significant technological changes that happened in that time frame..Im not sure we can even speculate what it will be like in another 50 yrs!!
Bipedal androids will be probable by that time, so NO job would be a safe bet for humans only at that point!

That depends almost entirely on how many of them we continue to produce...
especially so the surplus beyond what employment and family economy can support.

Really? Talk to those who continue to cut funds to Planned Parenthood and similar programs.
They seem positively gleeful at the prospect of yet another 100M on top of the 100M we already don't need.

If we continue to refuse to get population growth in check... it won't be pretty.
The best chance our grands and g-grands have... is to limit their number.

SORRY!!! I posted before I proofread, and then was called away and couldn't get back in time to edit.
In my first post, I meant to say that I can't imagine that the number of jobs will increase, NOT the population! I definitely think that the population will increase, and that is my point -- how will people live, both by way of income and by way of occupying their time?
I realize that my first post made no sense, so my sincere apologies to everyone!
(And I also complete agree with Mr. Rational's post.)
Probably largely like they live today. Innovations will create new industries, and new jobs. People will continue to urbanize, become more progressive (left) thinking, and we will become more like Europe, until society, and government become to oppressive. Then it will get interesting.
As technology advances, jobs will likewise advance to support and interface with the technology.
Socially, I'm not so sure. Every indication is that we are in the last days (Bible prophecy). If that is not the case and things continue to slide downhill as have between the Great Depression, WWII, Vietnam, 9-11 and today ... one wonders. Are we on the verge of the Great Tribulation?? If so, we will likely see economic collapse, increased deception, widespread plagues and famines, etc..
Perhaps I'm looking through too narrow of a lens, but, the ever-growing sense of entitlement and self-absorption; the open rejection of Christ and Scripture and the rise of Islam and paganism; openly corrupt leaders and a general population that "calls evil, good - and good, evil -- and will no longer endure sound doctrine"; global threats among radicals who would not hesitate to use widespread nuclear, biological or chemical weapons; combined with instantaneous communications and rapid worldwide transportation ---
All of these things have left us in a very dangerous world today. At the pace things are changing, I'm uncertain that we would even recognize the world 50-years from now, if we saw it today.
Neither would be good, but I'd prefer your prediction over mine! I'll be 109 in fifty years, so I'm not worried. Now, if the Dems win today, I'll be worried!
If liberals take control of the gov't- we will be The United States of Islam.
And if conservative Reps win, there will be no more health care, SS or Medicare, so why worry. We'll all be dead! There's a last laugh. Oh, and the environment---ruined.
