However, he also has a lot of complaints about the US and prefers living in Scandinavia. Acknowledging that one place may have more significant problems does not mean you can’t recognize the problems where you are.
I agree with your assessment of censorship though. I’ve read a lot recently about how Russians don’t even believe their own family members in Ukraine calling them up and telling them what is happening because the Russian state media so heavily censors everything.

This is true. I was talking to my aunt on Facebook messenger before they blocked it. I asked her what Russians think of this war. She said that they don't believe in war, but that the Nazism and fascism in Ukraine is unacceptable. She also said that Russian soldiers only target other military...not civilians.

As A 3rd generation Volga German (look it up) with family in Omsk Oblast and Friends in Rostov on Don.I asked them early on what they think of this war. They are convinced about the Nazism and fascism in Ukraine Especially my friends in Rostov who had personalexperiance with Azov in 14/15. They also said that Russian soldiers only target other military but since the Ukes are arming civilians everyone is shooting at them. Remember the Russians have a lot of experiance as partisians themselves. They will know how to combat that aspect....Terrible? yes. Will innocents get killed? yes....What did Sherman say

Well, if believing all that makes your family feel better about what is happening in Ukraine, so be it. However, Putin is in violation of the Charter of the United Nations prohibition on aggression.
War crimes in the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine
Legality of the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine
United States Holocaust Memorial Museum condemns Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and Vladimir Putin’s exploitation of Holocaust history as a pretext for war.
Quoted from The Russian leader’s pretext for invasion recasts Ukraine’s Jewish president as a Nazi and Russian Christians as true victims of the Holocaust. "Ukraine does have a far-right movement, and its armed defenders include the Azov battalion, a far-right nationalist militia group. But no democratic country is free of far-right nationalist groups, including the United States. In the 2019 election, the Ukrainian far right was humiliated, receiving only 2% of the vote. This is far less support than far-right parties receive across western Europe, including inarguably democratic countries such as France and Germany. Ukraine is a democratic country, whose popular president was elected, in a free and fair election, with over 70% of the vote. That president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, is Jewish, and comes from a family partially wiped out in the Nazi Holocaust."
I think it's pretty clear that Putin doesn't want Ukraine to become another NATO nation, and this has far more to do with the invasion than his pretense of fighting Nazis.

So would you be ok with some far right neo nazi militia group got rolled into US Army? But regardless as I have said 50 times on CD as long as Americans aren't getting killed I could care less what the rest of the world does to each other. I don't care what Putin wants, the guy is a nutbar...a nutbar with nukes. You want to run that risk? New York won't get a 10 minute warning before a Russian boomer launches on the East coast

What makes you think that there aren't already far-right, supremacist types in the U.S. Army? Many members of the Patriot Front hold both current and former ties to the Army. Additionally, inform yourself with these links:
Inside the U.S. military's battle with white supremacy and far-right extremism
U.S. fails to stamp out far-right extremism in military despite decades of efforts.
So, would you be ok with Russia invading the U.S. next to straighten out our Armed forces, then? I think we'll take care of our own, thank you very much. And, as I've already stated, this whole "rescue mission" baloney of Putin's is a pretext for preventing the creation of another NATO country, as Ukraine had already applied to join NATO.
And, yes, Putin is a "nutbar with nukes." Which is why all of Europe and the U.S. is treading carefully in this situation. Regardless, the entire world is at risk if some brave soul in Russia doesn't take Putin out. The more than 13,000 Russian protestors of this war who have been arrested and imprisoned by Putin is an indication that Putin has perhaps considered that possibility.

The far right neo-nazis are present in all western countries. My wife's family is German and they talk about the insidious elements they still have- they're like roaches.
And I swear these Putin apologists have to be plants. Anyone supporting the obvious BS coming from the Kremlin as a pretext for waging war against Ukraine and targeting civilians has got to be. These certainly aren't the Americans I know and served with.

Thank you for your service, Threerun. It is good to know that the vast majority of our American servicemen and servicewomen reject this stain of far-right extremism in our military. And, as you said, these hateful extremists can be found everywhere. In fact, they are drawn to military organizations for the express purpose of gaining military training.

May be a bit off-topic, but the allegations that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction were at worst a mistake, not a lie. Saddam boasted for years that he had them. During the period of the U.N. inspections after Desert Storm, Saddam was notorious in not allowing inspectors leeway, and in one or two cases held the inspectors captive for a few days. The best analogy is if someone boarding an airplane boasts that he has a gun or a bomb, they will take it quite seriously.
As for the Russian and German faking of border incidents, these countries clearly had an agenda to go to war and take territory. The U.S. never sought to make Iraq a U.S. colony.

So was NATO in Serbia, Afghanistan Syria, Libya, Egypt, Iraq, all under the guise of "Democracy"
Military aggression in the form of a first strike.
Here is a picture when Ukraine hit the Ethnic Russian regions, and have been for 8 years. This media source in Italy tried to mislead and claim this was from Russian aggression, although it is Ukrainian.
So look at this picture and tell us about aggression in the form of a first strike that the UN charter prohibits.
