Tenn. couple accused of assault using Cheetos - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090626/ap_on_fe_st/us_odd_cheetos_assault - broken link)
That's right!...Even though I myself have never been a victim, I've always feared that one day I would be brutalized in a demeaning attack with these weapons.
Thank the Lord that the news media focuses on these more significant events. Other world events are insignificant to this type of information. This is the news that we need to be better world citizens.

Which is why I completely ignore all Mediots -- print & the boobed tube. The Internet has replaced them 120%. Scanning favorite Internet communities, it's a Godsend to be able to scan the discussions regarding anything that's going on. Don't even have to ever click the links! Just scanning the posts is more valuable (and UNBIASED) insight than what the Mediots could come up with these days anyway.
And don't y'all know? They scan Internet for their "stories" anyway.
Real News Journalism = RIP.
While I'm on this soapbox -- family watches the alleged local evening "news" and all I ever hear from another room is their Weather-Celebrities taking up half the stupid "newscast" hyping what's obvious if we looked out our door at any point during the day. They spend more time hyping their WCs than all other "stories" put together if a celebrity's not making "news" that day to compete!
(Even Sports -- some years ago, our local Mediots ceased even flashing the MLB scores -- even during the Pennant Races.)
And they're always called something like "Storm Watch"...

I live in an area where the weather is the same about 80% of the year (mostly sunny and warm) - And all the news stations have their weather section with some calamity name.
And the worse thing about them is flicking them on in the morning, gulping down a cup of coffee, listening to them ramble on about "who knows what". and you're standing there shouting at the TV..."Should I bring a %&#$ umbrella?...to which they respond - "And, we'll get back to today's weather after this..."

Cheetos stain your clothes and your hands like gunpowder residue so it's hard to run from the law when Cheetos is your choice of weapon. I'm thinking they'll recant and say it's foreplay for them to hurl Cheetos and have the other try to catch them with their mouth.
My personal opinion is that a smart warring couple would duel with pretzel rods.
