I have been a bowhunter since 1959 when you had to pretty much make your own stuff.
When compounds were introduced I HATED IT!.
Every tom Dick, and Hary that couldnt draw a bow back was getting into it so they could shoot an extra deer.
The woods were flooded with jerks that had no idea.

While I'm "all for" killing deer with recurves, bazookas, or hand grenades, I have to tell ya, shooting the recurve my uncle made me is pure delight.

Yeah, I bought one of those "fancy schmancy" compound bows some years ago, I ended up trading it for a real nice 12 gauge.

There's just something about the "feel" of a quality recurve.
