There have been cases of mistakes and bounty hunters have charged into the wrong place, illegally...a bounty hunter comes onto my property illegally he's only going to survive if he leaves before I take him out. I have a very low opinion of these people as you can tell...
There are people on these forums that keep screaming about the paramountcy of "personal property". Is this bounty hunter some kind of a repo man, who I am to presume to be the embodiment of the principle that personal property is more important than human life, or due process, or social order, and nothing takes precedence over personal property being returned to its rightful owner?
When you folks get done talking about TV Show "hero's" then it might become apperant that repo people & bounty hunters are dealing with real people with little to nothing to loose making them VERY dangerous critters to deal with.
Both do a job as defined by law with a lot of built in wiggle room to get the job done. The job's wiggle room is why state, federal, and local gov't doesn't want to do it.
I think not but could be wrong. Bounty hunters generally work for a bail bondsman or are bondsmen themselves. They collect folks that they bailed out so that they can get their money. I'm not sure why they would bother with reposessing cars & such, maybe its a sideline.
A lot of Bounty hunters are very close to the same criminals they bring back. I have a problem with them breaking into houses without warrents, that just doesn't seem right. They do provide a good service, and people have to eat, and law enforcement can't pay to track down every idiot that skips out on bail. I think the industry should be regulated though, so that less mistakes happen, and less idiots are occupying the trade.
There have been cases of mistakes and bounty hunters have charged into the wrong place, ...
To be fair - there are numerous cases of Law Enforcement officers - from all levels, doing EXACTLY THE SAME THING.
