Has society allowed the religious community to go to far? It plainly says in both government and religious text that the two should not ever blend. So why do we allow religions a choice to lobby?
I say that we should start treating those that are religious by the standards they wish to live by. If you are religious, then all sins become a crime but only to those that claim to be religious. Every sin in the bible, both new and old testament.
The reason I say this is because religious people often quote the bible where it tells what things are sins, but they seem to only do that on subjects they dont agree with. Technically, divorce should be illegal right? or does that no apply today.
I am just sick of you religious people using the bible for your own gain, but when it works against you, you claim that it doesnt mean exactly that. Make up your mind, either all of the bible is true and you should be legally obligated to uphold it if you are religious, or it is not true. There is no middle road, there is no more, this is correct and true but this is not when it comes to the bible.
I started a thread once - why shouldn't churches pay real estate tax like everyone else. They like to preach and dictate to us, while we - including those who don't believe what they do- work to support them.
A quick look at history will catalogue the many ways religion has been used for personal gain of either an individual or a group of people with a dull ax to grind.
That and it's all to easy to find followers of low mental capacity or low moral fiber to act as shock troops to forward the "cause".
If churches are truly focused on charity, let them bail us out of the national debt created by these dastardly wars. Do a little creative....um..sacrificing...for "god and country."

Now if you say any one of these biblical laws should not be upheld, then none of them should. Do you wear, blended cotten? Do you wear Denim? Have you eaten any fruit or vegetable? DO you think ALL parents are worthy of the love and respect of their children? Have you ever worked on sunday? Do you think men should dominate women? Do you think homosexuality is wrong?
If you say no to any one of these than you are saying no to all of them and saying that the bible is false.

Actually the meantions of relgion was toi protect religion form the gobernamnt not teh other way arouhnd. People are free to vote and petition on there beliefs whether relgious or otherwise.So no you have aloowed anyhting its their rights as citizens.
