1. Most shooters are concerned that Obama & crew may be just crazy enough to try & put restrictions or controls over fire arms. One of the easiest would to restrict the ability to purchase ammo. The people I know just want to make sure they have a good supply.
2. Many people recognize there is a very slim chance that some armed conflict is a possibility. They want to be prepared.
3. If SHTF (look it up) actually happens, ammo will be one of the top 5 things you will want for survival. More valuable than gold.
4. The old inflation monster. Buy it now cause the Govt will get the price raised or highly taxed similar to cigarettes.

Mostly number 1.
In light of the latest news out of Kentucky today, it does'nt bode well for those taking a job as a U.S.A. government census worker next year.
I'm part of the problem. I've bought several new guns including handguns and have been buying, shooting and stocking up on ammo. You can call me names if you want but at least I'll be standing when the SHTF.
At one time, being prepared (I'm not talking only about guns) was considered good sense.
For some reason in this day and age, being prepared for an emergency is considered tin foil hat territory. I do not understand this mentality. Anyone with a brain knows that having a plan for an emergency (and supplies) is a very good idea--even if its just a barrel of water and a box of hardtack, at least it's something. I think many of us tend to depend on others way too much, which is nothing more than a victim in the making.
Cus these crazy gun people are scared they're guns will be taken away.
