I have a problem with Our Troops, riding around in mine fields, in what is basically a big dune buggy. We are just now, after 8 years stating to supply them with something with actual armor on them, and under them. How many of Our finest have died, from having to ride in unprotected vehicles, when we have better ones to use. the Hummer is like a jeep, not a armored personal carrier. Most frustrating. If we Send Our Guys into harms way, they should have the best protection we can offer.
Now your talking. Our Guys are not out for a spin on the Beach. give them some darn protection. We have Strikers, just sitting there gathering dust. Us them!!
What I've always wanted to know is, where are they going in those Hummers, and why? What is their mission that they need to keep speeding around Baghdad like road hogs in thousands of Hummers all day? Smashing Iraqi citizens' cars to get them out of the way.
When a Man is in a hurry, he is in a hurry. I have no problem with it. Some folks drive like that here.
I think they do it so they don't get bogged down and open to attack as long as they keep moving they are not sitting ducks
