NO Problem! I am from Romania. Do you know where that is? what it borders? and what our landscapes look like?

We used to be communist for some 50 years, my dad used to get up at 4am to sit in line to get a gallon of milk that was rationed...same went for ham, cheese and other necessities.

We have more history, and culture, and educated people than 3/4 of the US together. Our only problem is that we can't find politicians that are willing to STOP IMITATING US moronic policies that don't belong in our country. It will happen, because we usually "take care" of our politicians if they turn out to hurt the people unlike here where people put their headphones on, turn on Honey BooBoo and pretend that no one else lives in Earth!!!!!

The people putting these shows should be jailed!

Prehistory and antiquity
Main articles: Prehistoric Romania and Ancient history of Romania
Emperor Trajan's annexation of Dacia in 106 set the stage for the ethnogenesis of modern Romanians

Some 42,000-year-old human remains were discovered in the "Cave With Bones", and being Europe’s oldest remains of Homo sapiens, they may represent the first modern humans to have entered the continent.[23] The Neolithic Age Cucuteni area in Northeast Romania was the Western region of the earliest European civilization known as the Cucuteni-Trypillian culture.[24] Also the earliest known salt works in world is at Poiana Slatinei, near the village of Lunca in Romania; it was first used in the early Neolithic, around 6050 BCE, by the Starčevo culture, and later by the Cucuteni-Trypillian culture in the Precucuteni period.[25] Evidence from this and other sites indicates that the Cucuteni-Trypillian culture extracted salt from salt-laden spring-water through the process of briquetage.

The earliest written evidence of people living in the territory of the present-day Romania, the Getae, comes from Herodotus, in his Histories book IV (c. 440 BC).[26] Territories located north of the Danube were inhabited by Dacians, which are considered a part of the Getae tribes mentioned by Herodotus, a branch of Thracian people. The Dacian kingdom reached its peak between 82–44 BC during the reign of Burebista.

Roman emperor Domitian led military campaigns in the region between 87–88 AD at Tapae. Roman incursions continued in 101–102 AD and 105–106 AD under Trajan, who successfully defeated Dacia and annexed its southwestern parts to the vast Roman Empire. The Dacian population subsequently underwent the ethno-linguistic process of Romanization and the conquered parts became an imperial province. Due to Dacia's rich ore deposits (especially gold and silver),[27] Rome brought colonists from all over the empire.[28] This introduced Vulgar Latin and started a period of intense romanization that would give birth to the Proto-Romanian language.[29][30] During the 3rd century AD, with the invasions of migratory populations, the Roman Empire was forced to pull out of Dacia around 271 AD, making it the first province to be abandoned.[31][32]

After the Roman army and administration left Dacia, the territory was invaded by various migratory populations including Goths,[33] Huns,[34] Gepids,[35] Avars,[36] Bulgars,[35] Pechenegs,[37] and Cumans.[38] Several competing theories have been generated to explain the origin of modern Romanians. Linguistic and geo-historical analysis tend to indicate that Romanians have coalesced as a major ethnic group both South and North of the Danube in the regions previously colonized by Romans.[39]

Let me tell you something, the US's attitude that "its so special, and it has nothing to learn from other countries" is so skewed and retarded its not funny anymore. The US has a LOT to learn from Sweden, Norway, and even Romania to start coming closer to being a respected society in any way. When you shut the door to the world, and are not willing to learn, and educate your people, you cannot demand respect from anyone, and that applies from one person to a nation. RESPECT IS EARNED! Invading and meddling in other countries will not grant you respect now or ever.

It began when America embraced the live to work culture, meaning that often both parents had to work at least 40 hours per week. Add to that, the shocking levels of income disparity in this country (for a western democracy), god-awful media, prevailing lack of morals and respect that has been prevalent for at least 2 generations and a media that seems to do nothing but promote narcissism, violence and generally trashy, degenerate lifestyles and image, image, image.

I think the degenerate lifestyle had always been there. I think nowadays, it's "in your face" than it was a long time ago. This was long before both parents started working. What happened was that the degenerate behavior started becoming part of pop culture.

Now it is being PROMOTED!
Open Yahoo's home page, MSN, any news page and all you'll see is articles about crimes, and all sorts of disasters, and horror stories...I am not saying not to talk about them, but there is nothing of VALUE promoted. I stopped watching Tv with the exception of DIY & HGTV, back in 2001. I cannot fathom to watch anything else. I'm forced to pay $200 for "cable-internet-phone" so I can get to watch 2 channels for less than 2 hours a week.

Here's another example: Glee: The way I look at it is how in the world do you allow this kind of disgusting behavior from children in a school in the first place? my husband who's was born here explained as in: "well, that IN SPITE of the mockery and taunting they succeeded, or that the mockery was the "motivator"!"! and I'm like that's dumb! You succeed because you TRAIN, and become GOOD at something, not to "prove" to the mean kid that you're better! Why put so much emphasis on the BAD KIDS???? Those need to be expelled at the 2nd offense, the end. You allow so much rotten behavior because everyone is afraid to discipline, because every discipline method now gets the DCF at your door, and then you wonder WHY? so many degenerates walk around in daylight????????? It is UNACCEPTABLE for a 14, 15, 16 year old to have a child...also unacceptable NOT to have an abortion and go on with school WITHOUT making a whole drama around it. I would arrest the parents for not taking that child to have an abortion, because THAT is child abuse indeed.

The show would have been a lot more watchable for me, if there was less drama = "Ohh poor me I'm gay, or poor me Im pregnant at 16, and all this **** that does not belong in PUBLIC!!!!!! and had more emphasis on the PRACTICE aspect considering they were performers, more good songs, maybe showing different variation of the songs as they became the performing number, and more ENCOURAGING COMMON SENSE behaviors in a school.

Let me tell you something, THE MAIN REASON we see so many degenerates it is because media has a need to promote it! This whole gay poor me thing is disgusting, and you won't see it as bad elsewhere...same goes for guns, and other behaviors that should be treated in a psychiatric ward! Who knows who Freddy Mercury is? or Rudolph Nureyev? when ppl talk about them they use them as "gay" community superstars and have actually NO CLUE about their work. Its gross! and insulting to their respective careers. IT was an embarrassing way to die, and they would have still probably been alive if not for this disgusting lifestyle. AND SO on.

It is also NOT OK for me to get a letter from the school apologizing that a child brought a gun to school!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Degenerate PARENTS! these ppl should have been arrested for giving access to a gun to such a small child. But noooo, because ppl praise the 2nd amendment here even though we're are in peace times on this land! "Supposedly"! (or supposebly as ppl say these days)!!!

Promotion is the big difference. I won't argue with you on that. Degenerate behavior seems to be promoted more.

Now, I disagree on the abortion part of this. I don't agree with abortion. However, I don't think a TV should be made about teen mothers. That basically says "become a pregnant teenager and I get your own show".

The thing is, degenerate behavior has always existed. It is only now that not only is it promoted more, there is more media for it. Back in the 1950s, youtube didn't exist. World Star Hip Hop didn't exist(neither did hip hop), other forms of media didn't exist back then. Sure, there were regular people who owned 10mm film cameras and still cameras. However, your home videos and photos stayed in your house. There was also more of a shame to posing nude and then making it public. Only porn stars did that, and they were considered that "dirty little secret". If you wanted to see nudity and licentious behavior up close, well, you went to the burlesque bar in a questionable part of town. It was kept behind closed doors. In the 50s, there were maybe 2 TV channels. Since everyone was watching the same thing, if something risqué came on TV, alot of people could complain about it since everyone, including the kids, would be watching. However, with cable becoming more popular, more channels were available. In my opinion, I think that the more channels were available, you could find a channel to put programs involving degenerate behavior on TV. Youtube can be used for good. However, some people use it for bad.

Good old Romania. Vlad Dracul, the Impaler. Ceaușescu and his wife murdered on TV on Christmas Day. Great role models.

How often has it happened to you, that a stranger threw a drink at you? As to the rest of it, it's a good question. I actually had a co-worker once, who had been one of those bored teenagers, who would break into houses in her neighborhood, with her friends, just for the challenge of it. She bragged about this.

And young men screaming things from passing cars (usually at women) has always been part of the life here, for some reason. I don't understand it, either. Especially in places like Seattle, where normally the population at all ages is very reserved. The men are too reserved to speak to, or flirt with, women they encounter in day-to-day life, but screaming lewd comments at them from passing cars is ok, in their minds. It seems to be the only manner they allow themselves to communicate with women at all. When I spent a couple of summers around Scandinavia, it was very refreshing to be free of this kind of thing.

The question is, I think: why does American society tolerate this? And who is raising these boys, and these teenagers, who think it's fun to break into their neighbors' homes, for their own entertainment?

We live in a society that only supports the wealthy and well-connected. If you're middle-class or below, it's every man for himself.

When society makes it abundantly clear that it doesn't give a **** about people by the millions... why should we be surprised that people by the millions in turn don't give a **** about society?

It's because degenerates out breed the good people. Intelligent people have one or two,it's because that's what they can afford. Degenerates often just poop out kids whether they can afford them or not.
