Learn chemistry and botany on your own time.

This is the whole problem with green weenies. The only thing they know is what they read on Mother Jones.

Probably a more reliable source of info than fox news.

Of course this is possible, but people who seek knowledge about AGW from either Fox News or Mother Jones are morons and should not be permitted to express anything but dismay and confusion. I'm old enough to recall the coming ice age predicted only 40 years ago when we would all be driven underground to prevent extinction of the human race. What important scientific breakthrough in understanding climate change occurred since ABC, NBC and CBS brought us that hoax?

That ice age is true!!!!
But they are super-mini ice ages happening annually from October-April.
We've been lucky that global warming has been fighting it off, but the ice age has resolve and always returns.

But seriously the tree comments are true, but it is only slightly more CO2 over a lifecycle that includes decay. And the green fanatics seem to forget that trees are planted as crops and harvested. This is extremely CO2 friendly. Trees planted and grow sucking up CO2, giving us O2. We harvest them and use them in place of metal or plastic (eco friendly again) and it holds the CO2 in the wood for much longer.

Agreed! The most eco friendly use of trees is to cut them down for lumber and building products.

Default EVs don't emit CO2 on the road

And didn't I read somewhere that electric vehicles emit more co2 than gas vehicles? (I don't know this for fact, read it somewhere)
On the road, electric vehicles are emission-free unlike petroleum-based cars which is why the former is a better choice.

Could it be that what you read said something like a large percentage of the electricity used to charge EVs comes from coal? So in this regard, EVs are still responsible for CO2 emissions. The good thing is, studies have found that burning coal for electricity generation emits lower levels of CO2 compared to tail pipe emissions.

If your going to say something like "studies have found" give us a link to this "study" so we can read it our selves. other wise it's just hear say.

I'd like to see all those "warmists" be more concerned about overpopulation, biodiversity(only 13 tigers left in the wild in Siberia) and the great garbage patch,... I wonder if they recycle their own garbage and how many children they breed.
They focus too much on climate and don't seem to be very interested in other pressing environmental issues.

On the road, electric cars are NOT emission free because the driver is constantly exhaling CO2 and contributing to the destruction of mother earth. Try driving while holding your breath.

On a lighter note, if you drive a hybrid or electric car I would like to thank you.

I need your gas.

lol glad to see some educated people who are NOT buying the global warming bull crap. LoL Carbon footprint...that sounds cute, but MIS-educated people are dangerous because in big numbers they unknowingly support the evil corporations that peddle this false science.
