There are many low and ultra low flow shower heads that work well, we have been using them for years.

Hmmm, a British long pint is about 20 oz, so the idea of a Guinness shower is feasible...

I'm a guy with a shaved head who needs to shave in a shower. I need the hot steamy shower or I end up with bad skin irritation. 30 mins is not unheard of

I am disabled and must sit when taking a shower, for me and everyone like me this constitutes discrimination.

Normally it takes me 20-30 minutes to take a shower...

I find I just end up showering longer with those low-flow things, it takes longer to get rinsed off.

If people really want to protect the environment that badly, then limiting people's shower times is looking in the wrong place.

In the history of mankind, no government agency has ever spent $15,000 on any study of any kind. $15,000 would not cover the cost of the paper clips for a government study.

Exactly... these government measures are merely tools to control the populace. Notice how they always seem to ignore the big corporations and farmers and target silly stuff like gallons per toilet flush and the like.

If they want people to use less water... simple.. charge more.... we have plenty of water on this planet if the price gets high enough to promote economic incentives to access it (desalination plants for example) ... maybe people will think twice about running lawn watering programs after they just got 4 inches of rain... and just let the lawn dry out like I do.

Seems to me, water is not used up like a fuel. It goes down the drain to a septic system or a municipal treatment plant and ends up back in the environment. That which evaporates comes back as rain.

I tend to agree, it is a cycle element. and many times the byproducts are removed and used beneficially elsewhere.
