Train detail, are noisy, and disturb my peace and quiet. They fulfill a purpose, but NOT IN MY BACKYARD.

I spoke to RR personnel about the possibility of derailment on the tracks within a few feet of our work location and they said it was impossible right there at that point.

As a nature lover, we enjoyed hearing the coyotes run the tracks at night, howling, sometimes catching prey.

One thing I appreciate is that when there's a tornado warning in the area, the conductor will blow the whistle so we know it's just the train going by.

Here's irrefutable evidence of plague-like human behavior. You have to get up high to see the true scale.

The problem is constant growth of one species while others perish unless they piggyback on the human mess.
Well, A and B.

A: Why do we want to make so many things a crime? Is this to make others criminals with the stroke of pen so they are easier to control? I watched a 1st season Streets of San Francisco the other night where Stone tells an ex junkie that they didn't move on her because they knew their efforts were working. Why make things a crime when there are other measures?

B: An elder once criticized me for sitting in the parking lot with the engine going for the AC. The thing is, the AC wasn't for me but for the cargo I was delivering to another elder.

We see one thing and assume it to be just that, perhaps the worse thing we can imagine when it might be something else.

I am the single person on 10+ acres. Some might see that as selfish, of how I should be more considerate to the planet by not having such a footprint, by living in a smaller space.

Currently, though, I am trying to keep this land as much as I can as a preserve for wildlife. I use an expensive professional exterminator service to keep things out of the house as oppose to a cheap store bought measure (as my yard man tells me, tells me I am wasting my money with the service) because I am not too crazy about poisoning my land. I can shoot on it but again, there is that question of poisoning my land.

So who is in the right and who is in the wrong? Who gets to decide? Are we just declaring people criminals so we can take their land?

EDIT: Green Police, huh? Boy, I am glad I don't watch Superbowl.
