You should find a new profession. Automation will take that job.

In the US all you need is to be able to get in and out of the car. You don't need to see well, nor hear, nor have common sense, nor know the rules. For the rules all you need is a lawyer. He will fix everything for you.

That might have been sarcasm on your part but all of the above is far from true.

It seems like a practical option for running around the city or burbs. The cost is really reasonable and I'd rather get groceries, etc in that thing than haul them on public transit. I would have really liked this option when I was living in an area where I didn't NEED need a car, but where I really wished I had one a few times a week for this or that purpose, like going somewhere at an odd hour or in bad weather.

or in our part of the country, where 75% or more of vehicles in the parking lot are Pickups or mid size and large SUVs, mounted with deer guards like this.

https://vehicleic.com/best-grille-guard-for-deer/

Hit a deer without one, $1,200 and up to repair. With one, a quick trip through the wash, and good as new.

Active Collision Avoidance may trend towards becoming required.

So even with more "senior" drivers these things can be avoided.

Peterbilt drivers say the same of your F450 Super Duty.

Adds another $2000 to the price tag. The govt "helping us" once again. ..

Such a system probably wouldn't help much in the case of deer darting out--- you rarely hit them head on. They tend to jump out at the last minute out of confusion and run into the side of the front clip ("front fender")of your vehicle. You don't hit them. They hit you.

If you live in an area where collisions with deer are a real possibility, the 40 mile range of this vehicle may not even get you into town from your ranch on one charge.

EVs are niche vehicles, not ready for Prime Time....And that begs the question-- What's the niche for the Tesla S, top speed 130mph & price tag $80,000? ...Gotta be a combination of "virtue signaling" plus "mines bigger than yours."

I thought it was kinda cute, too. Though the French cars that were, I think, 1-person vehicles, where the entire front of the car was the door, lol, were pretty intriguing. But they don't qualify as bicycles, technically. They require a regular driver's license to drive. Are those still around?
