Velomobiles are a great way to get killed. Either by being below a car driver's line of vision (did you feel that big bump in the road?) or by attempting to bike through Florida in July. Either way, you're a goner. They're amazingly inefficient too, just plain too heavy unless you electrify them. I've been a daily biker for more than 4 decades, don't even have a car. In all that time I have seen maybe 5 or 6 velomobiles. That tells you everything you need to know.

By the way, most eBikes are throttle AND pedal assist, you just toggle a switch on the handlebars to make a change. A throttle is much safer than pedal assist, the latter always has a lag time.
