God, what's next? People are also freaking over the methane from cow farts. Are we going to be saddled with a butt plug device monitoring our gaseous emissions? Methinks some of this crap is going way too far.

I'm curious how this progresses.

Indoor pollution is very real, and now here's another culprit. Is it really any worse than, say, the formaldehyde off-gassing from new furniture, carpet, etc.?

So is everyone going to rip out their granite countertops and install formica now? If so, I'm ahead of the game .

This story has been around for a while now. It was started by a company that builds counter tops that compete with granite, so it behooves them to scare you off.
The tech articles I have read show the radon to be way much smaller than allowable, hardly even measurable. . I studied the reports closely, and them went ahead with my granite. It would take a thousand years to do any damage.... I probably won't live that long...

I have granite and I also perform radon testing. I calibrate my machines right next to the kitchen and my reading is .1....I call BS on these claims.
