Popular Science article......Reporting that last week Rock Port Missouri became the first city in the United States to generate it's electricity entirely from Wind Powered Technology. Anyway just wanted to report this for those interested. Same article also reporting that Texas is leading the nation production of Wind Powered electricity and is investing 5 billion dollars in a current Wind Powered project.

Good for them, unfortunately it won't work for most of the U.S..... at least Rock Port can feel better about paying the "same" utility company with a different name... I prefer to be my own utility company! Go Solar!

The market demands it. I would love to believe that this was conscientious, but I think that it is actually fiscal.

Google "Pickens' Plan" for an interesting take on wind energy. I think he has prepared a strong case.

Solar will eventually be huge, but the battery technology just isn't where it needs to be yet. Nuclear, fuel cell and wind are the technologies that are ready or close to ready and will get us out of this mess.

What are they going to do when the wind stops? A wind generator won't start without electricity. When it doesn't blow it sucks.............
