No. People are pretty thick. It will have to hurt "their own" pockets before they will make a change. Americans have gotten used to getting what they want, when they want it because of the "free money" over the last 5 years or so.
I am not including all of the truly responsible people out there. I am also not including the people who are green because it is really good for the environment. Only the ones that are being "green" because it's a new fad.
Actually we don't need all the new "Green Products" because being green is about less consumption not buying more.

Or alternative consumption. If you'd buy dishwashing detergent anyway, there are greener choices to be made.
I think one of the negative impacts might be that when households have to operate on leaner budgets, they might go back to non-green products. Someone who might be buying a more expensive Seventh Generation detergent right now might go back to using Dawn because it's half the price. But the greener choice is gentler on the environment .

You can always make your own. That's what I plan on doing when we move into our Off Grid House.
that includes all the "green" products which are being rammed down our throats.
Vinegar has been around since, since the beginning of time
I don't need any new fad "green" products to clean.
There's this green fad going around and it's more consumer oriented than actually wanting to be green IMO.
Just like the corporations jumped on the organic bandwagon they are also jumping on the green bandwagon.

Yeah, there are always going to be things that we need and if can buy "green", that's great. But the bottom line is that we need to buy less stuff, not the same amount of stuff but "greener."
Please tell us- what green products have been "rammed down your throat"???
what i was trying to address is this concept that we can consume ourselves green.
