Since I already have a tote bag, and I only need one, it would not be environmentally friendly to get another one. That would only be encouraging industry to keep on making more and more consumer products.

You know, the REALLY environmentally friendly bag is -

take you old jeans or pants or shirt

cut two squares (make two squares)

and two rectangles for handles

and sew them together.
