Apparently the state of Utah and a host of smaller entities are having some success with a compressed workweek. The benefits of these and other things would be a less time spent commuting and possible energy savings from not having to run the office utilties (though I wonder how much overall energy is saved with one less day in the office compared to an extra day off using their own home utilities).

What do you all think of this? Is anyone currently on an interesting and possibly more environmentally friendly work schedule?

Sure.

The folks in big office decided I was definitely NOT a George Clooney sort of looker and figured it would be easier if they kept me out of there.

So it is pretty much a Go Away, Send Work and Billable Hours back.

Works for me!

I telecommute. People think that I sit around playing games on the computer all day, but really I endup working at MINIMUM 50 hours a week and there is no OT. On the upside, I do not own a car. My computer does stay on 24/7 365. Computer is a drop in the bucket really.
