I have been researching pollution issues in the area I currently reside and the numbers are scary.....eastman kodak is in the top toxic 10...I also know lakes and rivers are polluted by corps., causing cancer, miscarriages, etc.
Can anyone give me some good sources here? I have read how each state allows ppm of pollution, and nuclear waste, but I never realized how extreme the numbers were.
What about pollution by corporations into rivers and lakes? Lake Watauga and Holston River are named on a NYPiRG site...the fish from a local river here is inedible and cancerous, the incidents of cancer is high, and its starting to remind me of Love Canal in New Jersey...

Whatever waste you are worried about get the section chief's e-mail or phone number and call him or her. Ask them where you can find the information. Have fun.
There has been major reductions in both air and water emissions since I started this career in 1970.
