when I was a kid all of our bedspreads was like that, would love to have them now (I bet my mom has some, will have to ask)
there was a factory in the next town over and it was the Chenille factory where they made these bedspreads, my grandmother worked there in her earlier years, remember the stories of her coming home with all the material fuzz all over her
Vermont Country Store has been one of my favorites over 20 years. They even ship to Alaska! I've have that very bedspread in queen over 15 years. It is HEAVY - smells so delicious if you're lucky enough to hand it outside on the line. It takes an extra big washer to hold it all. Makes funny bumps on your face if you take a nap on top tho.
