A belief in climate change would be bad for business for the supporters of the candidates who continue to be oblivious to scientific facts, they make their profits by convincing people that bulldozing woodlands to build McMansion developments and driving a gas guzzling SUV 35 miles to their workplace is the normal way to live, and not the greatest misallocation of resources in human history. In a not too distant future when legions of suburbanites realize that their living arrangement is economically impossible and ridiculous in it's very inception it will be too late.
Both candidates are terrible. You'd think the democrats could have pulled a more worthy candidate out. It shows how corrupt the whole system is that nobody was willing to risk their lives running against Hillary. Trump won the nomination by fooling gullible people.
I can't really take climate change deniers seriously though I do listen to conservative talk radio being an open minded libertarian type with socialist leanings in some areas. I typically don't vote democrat because I believe in keeping the right for law abiding citizens with no felonies on their record to bear arms but that's discussion for another thread.
Add Gary Johnson to the list of those who will be hands-off where climate change is concerned. Hillary is a big-business Democrat, but at least she admits there is a problem and claims she will make moves to curb the problem. And in this country, that's the best we can hope for right now.
So we've gone from global warming to climate change, to climate change denier to just plain climate denier. I guess if I am in that category I must be also oxygen denier.
It might have been fake or right wing propaganda, but has Gore built a "McMansion" right on the beach somewhere?
I don't know about that but he does have a zinc mine on his property, a $30,000 utility bill and left the people's climate march in a gas guzzling Suburban.
Yes that is a serious issue I have with him and one reason I could never vote for him. I care about the environment too much. That is one thing I do not agree with the Republican party on, their uncaring attitude towards the environment.
He (Algore) is too busy to care about minor matters like the above (mentioned in woxyroxme's post) .. he is out hustling the troops to change the definition of 'hurricane' so that more absolutely wonderful scientific facts can prove climate change (and of course that man is at fault). Apparently, the scientists were all really upset that there have been no hurricanes hit the US in many years and that Matthew was not as devastating as they wanted it to be so they need to hustle up new numbers so we can have more of these horrific events.
