Recently, I wanted to grow indoor plants(wanted sunlight) but didn't want people seeing into my apartment windows(live in a higher crime area). I used this grooved(tented) plastic liner with adhesive made for cabinets on my windows. Later, I found out the company that made this already thought of this. My problem is that one sheet didn't give my window the level of opaque I was looking for, so I had to use four sheets. I had to layer it in different directions(upside down) and made sure the design didn't overlap. The temper difference is amazing. I have a 20* difference between the coated window surface and uncoated surface. That is in 40*, I'm sure that will go up in January. I think this is due to the groves trapping air and working as an insulator.

I didn't know if many people already did this, I though I would just throw it in this section for people who want solar heating(windows) with better heat bills this winter.
