BOSTON - Staples Inc. is expanding its electronics waste recycling program by accepting used computers and monitors that can now be dropped off for a $10 fee at any of the office products chain's 1,400 U.S. locations during store hours.
I had two old CPUs to get rid of, I pulled the hard drives and put them out in the trash with the moniters...why would I PAY someone to take them...they probably got recycled anyway because people take things from the trash all the time.
No way. There is a city community center not far from here that accepts donated old computers; I would donate to them vs. throwing away. But paying $10 to recycle is better than just throwing away.
I have a bad back, I don't carry anything when I can get away from it. I often use my daughters red wagon to take things out to the trash or to the car.
I have put things out in my trash the night before and half the trash ids gone by the morning...
No way. People who build their own computers will pay good money for some components. Just look on eBay. Staples would have to pay me to get any of my old computers.
Ok, if I recycle a computer, I'm helping the environment in my own little way. Why should I have to pay to help the environment? Isn't helping the environment enough?
