Has anyone used a cargo pet transportation company in or near winston salem that they could recommend?
We are moving from NC to AZ and we have 4 poms that will need to arrive after we do , so we will have everything in place when they arrive..

I would be scared to death to "ship" pets AFTER I had already moved somewhere. Don't you want to be there to see them off and make sure everything is OK? As far as getting things ready before they arrive, what about just taking them with you and then boarding them somewhere nearby until you're settle in?
To answer your question, I do know a woman who was trying to start a business for cats where she would fly with them to relocate the animal. I don't think she would do dogs, and especially not 4 of them, but I will ask her about that "industry". I still would be afraid to trust a cargo carrier to treat 4 animals properly for "shipping".
thanks for replying.. we do love them dearly and want only the best for them.. Believe me we have been over and over our options and I dont feel comfortable to give the details of our move..
I have since received a detailed email with pricing and we have decided to use them. The van is climate controlled and I was able to get confirmation of how well actual former customers felt their animals were treated by the company...
Not sure if I am supposed to post the company I choose as I wouldnt want to break an advertising rule here.
There are a couple of companies that I know of that provide some good service. I found them by asking my mover...even got a discount because it was a referral. How cool is that? Anyways, that's where I would start if I were you.
