We live in California. My son has been interested in film since he was really young. Once he was in high school we started looking at post high school education. Of course, there are several options here in California, but UNCSA caught our eye when we read about it online. We came back (to NC) last year to visit and toured the campus and my son was thoroughly impressed. After that we kept hearing good things about UNCSA via online filmmaking communities, news articles, etc. When he was accepted we knew that was the place for him! He absolutely loves it there. I know he will learn a lot. (But, boy, do I miss him! North Carolina is far, far away from California!)

We were worried about the impact on the budget, but so far so good.

My daughter, a third year, is now working on two fourth year films, this semester, when she really is not slated for any 4th year.

She is getting max experience, more than expected. That is a good thing.
