I'm looking for recommendations for good knitting/ yarn stores in the Triad. Not a big box store but something more local and providing new designs.
Thanks!

I deal with Knitbin.com , which is in Burlington. She does not have a physical store, but she has innovative patterns, great knitting needles, hand dyed yarns, etc.

I can't help you in the Triad, but I've asked on the Charlotte board & I got the impression that yarn shops used to be in abundance & now there's a lack. Apparently, most are in the mountains, with a cluster in Asheville. I also checked the Greenville/Spartanburg board & saw recommendations for an Alpaca farm in Inman, SC that sells yarns. North Woods Farm .

None of this is convenient to me & less so for you, but they can be detours on some day trips. Good luck.
