Please help... (Rockingham, Davidson: middle school, move to, areas)

We are considering a move to NC with 3 small kids, infant , 1st grade and middle school...I have been looking in the area of greensboro-high point for a small town--with good schools and not overcrowded. I am feeling discouraged by the negatives I am reading about NC school systems....Any areas you suggest would be a great help Thank you in advance

I'm a product of the NC school systems and I like to think I turned out ok. Where have you been reading negs about the NC school systems?
