Two real-estate developers are placing a $26 million wager that an upscale apartment complex will appeal to the young professionals and “millennials” working in and around downtown Winston-Salem.

Samet Corp. of Greensboro and Grubb Properties of Charlotte are collaborating on the Link Apartments Brookstown project, which is bordered by West First Street, Park Circle and Peters Creek Parkway.

Looks like the Ball Park downtown is starting to pay off BIG TIME. I've always LOVED visiting the area of downtown near the Ball Park, and now there are more options for people wanting to live there. Great news!!!

It seems that ballparks tend to spur this sort of development within the vicinity. Good to see the trend catching hold in Winston-Salem!

Hopefully, Winston is on the cusp of having high rise residential towers in center city. That will totally take the city to the next level of urbanity.

Upscale? Greensboro could use that; seems all they build in central GSO are generic '20 something' post college dorms with cute names, Cityview, Greenway 'here' and Greenway 'there'.
