is clemmons or Lewisville prejudice at all against other racist?? My family is relocating to north Carolina and I had a friend just inform to make sure to stay away from certain smaller towns as they can still be very prejudice against other racist. Is this true around the salem Winston area, im guessing not but just thought id ask. Thanks so much

Default response to your question

I do not think that you will find the people in Clemmons or Lewisville to be racist at all. A good number of the people in these areas are not originally from here and have lived in multiple places. So, it does not necessarily have the small-town feel that some small towns in NC may have (this is particularly true about Clemmons I think). Overall, the people are friendly, and I think it would be easy to feel at home here regardless of your race or background.

I figured you meant "prejudiced against other races"...what you typed has a different meaning. lol

IMO, the smaller towns are more likely to have issues, but you can find racism anywhere in the country. I think it's less likely to be a problem in areas where a higher percentage of people are from (or have lived) in other parts of the country (to be exposed to other cultures, ethnic groups, etc) - but that's no guarantee. You'll find wonderful, welcoming people in small towns, and you'll find nasty, bigoted/racist people in larger cities.

I haven't found racism in Clemmons but I'm in the majority and might not notice it. I think you could call the churches and get good information or hang out at a supermarket and check with members of your race.
