Hi! Me and the husband-to-be are getting married on August 23rd in Elon, but our hotel is in Greensboro, the Proximity. My family is starting to bug me about rehearsal dinner plans, but I'm not as familiar with Greensboro restaurant life. Where can we go that's kinda cool, maybe with some live music + a room to fit about 15 - 20 folks? I want to impress the in-laws to be with my choice, so give me your best, and I will check it out!

This may be a little on-the-nose, but Printworks Bistro, which is at the Proximity, is very good and has private event space on-site.

That's a great suggestion. The food there is wonderful.

Just as an aside, do know that Proximity will do a rehearsal dinner in one of their large suites. You can have a slideshow of your photos on the large television in the suite. Excellent service, very good food and relaxing, private venue.

Printworks is a nice restaurant. if people can tolerate the August humidity, you might consider having the dinner on the patio--one of the loveliest spots in town. Inside, you are going to be at a large table and you may find it hard hearing one another. Their ubiquitous piped-in music can be a tad loud occasionally, IMHO.

Undercurrent has a private dining area that you might want to check out. Very popular fine restaurant.

I think Fleming's is a good choice also--great service and good steaks--and good seafood.

I am really going to check out that restaurant at the Proximity. This is such an exciting time, but I'm a little nervous about impressing the new in-laws!

I hope it does the job. The nice thing is it's right there in the hotel, so your guests can have fun without driving.
