APAC Customer Services, a provider of call-center outsourcing and other customer-care service, announced Friday that it plans to add 500 full-time workers to its call center.

The new hiring is the result of a contract with an unidentified new client in the telecommunications industry. Employees will work in customer service and sales support.

APAC Customer Services has hired more than 500 people since April and plans to hire 200 more customer-service representatives and supervisors at its High Point call center.
