Moving to Winston-Salem from Australia

Thanks for all of the advise. We will be working at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. The problem we are having right now is that we don't know how long we are going to live there. We are talking about starting with a low rent and then if things work out, maybe buying a house. But we also don't want to live somewhere where we have to worry about our car being broken into. or an area that might be noisy at night like a college area.

My son rents an apartment at this complex. Its a good location, and he hasn't had any issues. It might be a good place to start.

Another good option you might want to consider is renting a small house in Ardmore, which is very close to WFBMC. I see several on Craigslist for around $800.
