Being a native of Eastern North Carolina in my years of living I haven't been to Winston-Salem, so far yet. I'm interested about anything of downtown Winston-Salem, whether it is growing, being a essential part of the city, any information? Please?

The Winston-Salem Journal is a good place to keep track of city happenings

Whenever something new happens in the area of development, the W-S Journal is on it.

Being W-S area residents, who lived in the Charlotte area for 7 years before that, we prefer W-S. Old Salem and Bethabara, and the Dixie Classic Fair are just a couple things accessible right next to the city. Currently, developers are building a high rise condo and apartment community near one of the Wachovia Bank centers. The fact that you can have city conveniences, yet be out in the country within ~20 minutes makes it a very attractive area.
