We recently moved to the area and I have been looking for a good automatic car wash. In Gastonia, I used to frequent Bay Breeze--a fantastic, modern car wash reasonably priced ($6-10) with free vacuums. It did a very thorough job, too. WikiWiki was another local choice in Charlotte. I haven't seen much around Winston except for the gas station variety. I am not interested in the expensive detailing shops.
I'm looking for the same. I Haven't been overly impressed with Magnum (either the Jonestown Rd/Hanes Mall Blvd location or the one at Silas Creek Pkwy near Peters Creek Pkwy). My wife went to Golden Touch on Main St in K'ville and it wasn't great either. I just don't think these ones do that great a job for around $20. I usually just go to Sheetz or similar for an exterior cleaning, and clean the interior myself, but I like to have someone else do everything once and a while.
There is a sign for a new "Shine Time Express" in the new development on Hanes Mall Blvd near Zaxby's and Hobby Lobby. I'll give them a try when they open.
